Largest Single Age Group Tuning in I-Radio: 25-34 Year-Olds
MeasureCast, Inc., the first company to provide Internet radio broadcasters with next-day streaming audience size and demographics data, today released its list of the top 50 streaming radio stations for October, along with its monthly streaming radio demographics report.
An analysis of more than 1,200 streaming radio stations measured by MeasureCast in October shows that listening to radio on-line continues to be a workday phenomenon, with 82% of all listening occurring during traditional work hours. Only 9% of the month’s listening occurred during weekends. Most listeners (69%) were men. In addition, MeasureCast finds that people of all ages tune in to the variety of music formats, news and talk shows available from webcasters worldwide, with the largest single age group comprising people 25-34 years old (29%). In October, 54% of listeners were under 35, 25% were younger than 25, and 7% were over 55.
